Inspiration lies in the shemagh (شماغ, pronounced /ʃɪˈmɑːɡ/), the traditional Saudi headcloth, whose flowing folds and rhythmic gestures have long symbolized identity and refinement in Arab culture. Rather than merely replicating the fabric, the designer translates its kinetic energy, particularly the expressive gesture known as nasfa (نسفة, pronounced /ˈnas.fa/), the swift, effortless flick used to adjust the shemagh into a series of mirrored metal curves. These continuous reflections interact with light and motion, transforming the symbolic into the sculptural.
