    1X Technologies has officially introduced NEO, the first consumer-ready humanoid robot designed for direct home use, merging advanced robotics, AI-driven learning, and human-in-the-loop safety systems to carry and lift heavy items and provide conversational, personalized assistance using onboard AI. It launched for pre-order in late October 2025 with an upfront Early Access price of $20,000 (or a subscription option of $499/month) and shipments to U.S. customers beginning in 2026. NEO’s public specs highlight a 66 lb (≈30 kg) body, human-level hand agility, tendon-drive actuation, multimodal sensing, and a multi-hour battery position that mark it as one of the first humanoids pitched directly at everyday consumers.
