German car brand Mercedes-Benz has revealed its first luxury residential tower in North America. The tower will be located in the Brickell neighborhood in downtown Miami as part of the brand’s luxury real estate project, Mercedes-Benz Places. JDS Development Group is developing the project, and the design team has worked in collaboration with award-winning SHoP Architects in collaboration with ODP, interiors by Woods Bagot, and landscaping by Field Operations. The project aims to establish a unique future-oriented experience with luxurious condominium residences, office and wellness spaces, a world-class hotel, and a newly-built open park by Field Operations.

The development will also be one of the largest construction projects in Florida with its 2.5 million-square-foot area. The project showcases multiple rectangular volumes stacked in alternating perpendicular directions, formed by simple geometric bodies. The outer facade of the building features balconies with rounded corners on every level, interspersed with spacious terraces nestled within the design’s layout. The reflective faces of the balconies capture natural light and offer Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic Ocean views. The building’s facade, shown in the renderings, is dominated by silver lines influenced by the iconic Mercedes-Benz colors with black and white highlights.

The design and shape of the tower was influenced by the Mercedes-Benz design philosophy of “sensual purity”, described as a “symbiosis of intelligence and emotion”. “This philosophy, based on the duality of emotion and intelligence, consists of a hot and a cool pole,” said Mercedes-Benz chief design officer Gordan Wagener. He mentioned that the impact of Bauhaus still influences the company’s architectural designs, shaping the “cool” pole. The team added: “The emotional side of Sensual Purity is characterized by free-flowing, elliptical lines and shapes inspired by nature…”

Moving on to the inside of this luxury tower, there will be 791 residences featuring studios and 3-bedroom condominium. The mixed-use development will also include 200,000 square feet office space, health and fitness facilities, a hotel, retail space, and 130,000 square feet amenities.

The project’s foundation work is underway, and it is anticipated that the first occupants will move in by 2027. The luxury car brand, Mercedes-Benz, is also working on a residential highrise in Dubai, expected to complete in late 2026.
