Day 2 – Track 2
Dana Cupkova:
Dana Cupkova, Co-Founder and Director of EPIPHYTE Lab, delivered an intriguing lecture on ecologies of shaping matter at the “Computational Design: NEXT 9.0.” Her presentation included wide environmental issues from socio-ecological knowledge as a form of attunement to the politics of architecture.
Erfan Habibpour:
Erfan Habibpour, Iranian architect and concept artist, provided an engaging Cinema4D workflow at the “Computational Design: NEXT 9.0.” After a brief illustration of his works, he delved into the experiences with different tools within the software.
Jason Kelly Johnson:
Jason Kelly Johnson, the co-founder and chief artist of FutureFormsLab, addressed the audience at the “Computational Design: NEXT 9.0.” with diverse projects of the company, from early and recent projects to constellations. He referred to many hybrid structures responding to the data, such as user movement or Twitter feeds.
Lecture by Hamid Hassanzadeh and Goodbye
The last section of the conference was a lecture by Hamid and the announcement of CD NEXT 10 on July 16-17. Hamid addressed the audience with a unique presentation about the different paths that architects can take in their professional careers.
