Day 2 – Track 1
Intro for the second day:
Hamid Hassanzadeh and Michael Pryor welcomed the participants and gave the introduction for the second day of the conference.
Manuel Jimenez García
Manuel Jimenez García, the co-founder of madMdesign and Automated Architecture Ltd (AuAr) and the robotic manufacturing and design brand Nagami delivered an engaging presentation about the architecture practice at the age of 3Dprinting. He delved into different issues, from digital thinking to digital making, by exploring automation, distributed manufacturing, and 3Dprinting architecture.
Meeson Pae:
Meeson Pae, the award-winning LA-based artist and sculptor dived into an amazing Cinema4D workflow at the “Computational Design: NEXT 9.0.” She started from an initial sketch to reach an outstanding biomorphic form after showcasing her various public art, concept art, and installations.
Melodie Yashar:
Melodie Yashar, space architect, technologist, and the director of Building Design & Performance at ICON, went through the space architecture and spatial design at the “Computational Design: NEXT 9.0.” She showcased many of her projects with NASA and ICON while elaborating on her experience of involvement in technology as an architect.
