Day 1 – Track 2

Negar Kalantar

Negar Kalantar, the Associate Professor at California College of Arts, elaborated on the subject of adaptability through tuning materials at the “Computational Design: NEXT 9.0.” She related the concept of adaptable design by geometries, materials, and additive manufacturing techniques while illustrating her diverse projects in the field.

June Lee

June Lee, the New York-based architectural designer, provided a Grasshopper3D workflow of a pavilion with its surrounding landscape at the “Computational Design: NEXT 9.0.” To develop his designs, June benefited from the concepts of organic flow, repetition and overlap, continuity, and duration.

Yavor Stoykov

Yavor Stoykov, 3D Artist and the V-Ray licensed trainer at Chaos group, presented an amazing lecture about different rendering techniques and approaches in V-Ray at the “Computational Design: NEXT 9.0.” He went through the details of Chaos Cloud, Chaos Cosmos, V-Ray Scatter, V-ray Dynamic geometries, lighting workflow, and the camera setup.
