Day 1 – Track 1
The first day of the conference was completed with outstanding lectures and webinar sessions. We all were amazed by the inspiring speeches from Arthur Mamou-Mani, Giovanni De Niederhausern, Negar Kalantar, and Yavor Stoykov. Mahdi fard and June Lee also demonstrated extraordinary webinar sessions with Grasshopper3D and machine learning tools.
Introduction – Welcome
In the first place, Hamid Hassanzadeh and Michael Pryor welcomed the participants and exhibited the latest updates, workshops, interviews, and courses at ParametricArchitecture and DesignMorphine.
Arthur Mamou-Mani
Arthur Mamou-Mani, the founder of FabPub, delivered a captivating presentation about eco-parametric architecture, circular design and fabrication, and future living and working. He showcased various projects in which they worked at the intersection of 3D printing, material research, and modularity to reach parametric, lightweight structures.
Mahdi Fard
Mahdi fard, the founder of Ardaena, delivered an awesome Grasshopper3D workflow at the “Computational Design: NEXT 9.0.” Starting from Grasshopper3D and going through Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning tools, he embraced the idea of different growth patterns in nature as parameters of a design process.
Giovanni De Niederhausern
Giovanni De Niederhausern, the Senior Vice President at Pininfarina Architecture, addressed the audience at the “Computational Design: NEXT 9.0.” with the design methodology, vision, and different projects integrating the company technology and beauty to create a positive impact within the design processes. Also, he went through the main reasons for moving the company from product design to architecture.
