Introduction to the workshop
AI is here to stay and is already having a strong influence on all design sectors at a speed beyond what our senses can clearly perceive. It is our responsibility as professionals to prepare ourselves to properly use these amazing tools, prioritizing the human factor and establishing guidelines for a balanced and conscious handling of them. The course will delve into technical, philosophical, theoretical, and practical aspects of creating design concepts using Midjourney 5.1 as a tool. The possibilities are endless, and this is just the beginning.
The scope of the workshop / Methodology / Objectives:
The ‘Dreaming with AI’ workshop will delve into the deep conceptualization of innovative design projects, mainly in the fields of architecture, urban design, robotics, transportation, and industrial design in general. During the course, students will be given concepts to develop based on what they learned in the first phase, and eventually, they will be the ones who will be able to propose one or more of the topics to be developed. The objective is for students to obtain a broader theoretical and practical framework regarding the use of AI for design and eventually develop their own methods or improve existing ones.

Notes:
- The “Dreaming with AI” Studio workshop by PAACADEMY will start on Saturday, October 14th, at 14:00 – 18:00 GMT.
- Total sessions: 2 Sessions
- The teaching duration per session will be 4 hours.
- Students will have time for a break between teaching hours.
- Each session and the entire studio will be recorded, and videos will be available for participants just a day after the class for unlimited time.
- PAACADEMY will provide a certificate of attendance.

Rolando Cedeño de la Cruz
Rolando Cedeño de la Cruz is a Costa Rican/Chilean Architect and Senior 3D Artist. Graduating from Universidad de Costa Rica, he has a demonstrated history of working in the architecture & commercial retail design industry. He is skilled in architectural design, point of sale, exhibit, and furniture design. He has also been part of the Gensler 3D Architectural Visualization crew and is the founder of Aurik Exhibits & Retail Design and AI.METAVERSE.CR’s designs focus on creating spatial and sensory experiences vital to promoting the connections between people, their passion for life, and the notion of a prosperous future. Currently dedicated to innovative content development for the Metaverse and Design Conceptualization with AI.
