Aldar Properties recently unveiled a new living concept settlement called Athlon. The settlement is designed to create a unique living environment that promotes an active lifestyle. It was developed using active design principles and curated by wellbeing experts. With its concept, it is a one-of-a-kind project in Dubai. The project aims to create a seamless connection between green spaces, where athletic spaces merge with green walkways, vibrant parks, and leisure activities for all residents.
Athlon, inspired by the Greek word for ‘place of the contest,’ is designed around a large central park that forms the community’s center. It features four additional parks: Adventure, Play, Wellness, and Valley, as well as seven clubhouses with zones for fitness and socializing throughout the community. Athlon offers over 10 kilometers of tracks, trails, and loops. The cycling loop is directly connected to Al Qudra’s iconic track, providing plenty of opportunities for jogging, cycling, roller skating, and functional training within the community.
The development surrounding the parks also comprises 1,491 residential units. These units range from three to four-bedroom townhouses, three to five-bedroom standard villas, and four to six-bedroom premium villas. All the residences are designed to maximize natural light and use colors and materials that enhance the sense of space and well-being.
In line with Aldar’s commitment to sustainability and achieving its net-zero targets, Athlon was created with a focus on efficient and low-carbon design principles. This approach will also be supported by the use of locally sourced, low-carbon materials, and the adoption of responsible and green construction practices. The development has achieved LEED Platinum pre-certification by incorporating features such as energy-efficient and water-saving fixtures, electric vehicle charging facilities, smart waste disposal systems, and convenient access to public transportation.

The first phase of the development launched on May 7, with prices starting from AED 2.8 million, and more than 1,000 villas and townhouses were already sold within 48 hours. “The sales performance gives us great confidence in launching further residential concepts in Dubai soon,” said Jonathan Emery, CEO at Aldar Development.
