With the rapid rise of AI and emerging digital tools reshaping architectural practice, the gap between traditional education and real-world industry demands has become increasingly visible. PAACADEMY 2.0 directly responds to this shift, making its update significant as it repositions learning to align with how designers now think, work, and communicate in a technology-driven environment.

PAACADEMY 2.0 emerges as a bridge between education and practice, setting a more adaptive standard for future-ready digital design learning. As workflows evolve and expectations accelerate, the platform introduces a more intuitive and intelligent direction that reflects the changing nature of architectural and computational design.

The experience itself has been streamlined into a clearer, faster, and more guided journey. Moving from discovery to structured learning, it ensures a more fluid progression, one that is not only efficient but also meaningfully aligned with contemporary design thinking and practice.

    The Vision Behind PAACADEMY 2.0

    Hamid Hassanzadeh

At the core of PAACADEMY is the vision of architect Hamid Hassanzadeh, who earned his Bachelor’s degree in Architecture between 2008 and 2012. Early in his journey, he recognized a growing disconnect as architecture was evolving far faster than traditional education systems could respond.

By around 2015, his curiosity led him into computational design, digital fabrication, and emerging technologies, where he began closely observing how rapidly the discipline was shifting, and how many practitioners risked being left behind. What started as exploration gradually turned into purpose and a quiet realization that the gap in accessible, practice-driven learning needed to be addressed.

He immersed himself in advanced tools such as Grasshopper 3D and explored digital workflows that could fundamentally reshape design thinking. As this journey unfolded, the lack of structured, accessible, and application-focused learning resources became increasingly evident. This insight ultimately led to the creation of PAACADEMY, a platform built to democratize future-ready design skills for architects and designers worldwide.

PAACADEMY 2.0 emerges as a refined evolution of its original intent, delivering a more responsive, future-ready learning experience shaped by changing design practices, while continuing to reflect its founder’s broader vision of working at the intersection of architecture, technology, and education, making advanced computational tools and knowledge more accessible, practical, and relevant to a rapidly evolving industry.

    What’s New in PAACADEMY 2.0

    • Stronger focus on real-world workflows where learning moves beyond theory and reflects how architects and designers operate in practice through live projects with different software and on-site thinking.
    • Deeper integration of AI and computational design with courses reshaped around AI-driven tools, parametric systems, and emerging digital design methods, shaping the future of practice.
    • More project-driven learning structure where each course is outcome-based, helping learners develop tangible portfolio-ready work rooted in real design challenges.
    • Global instructor network led by practicing architects, designers, and computational experts from around the world who are actively involved in real projects, studios, and on-site work, bringing first-hand industry experience into every course.
    • Expanded creative scope covering architecture, urban design, interiors, and digital visualization, connecting multiple disciplines into a unified learning journey.
    • Evolved learning philosophy with a shift from traditional instruction to an exploratory practice-led approach aligned with global design thinking and industry transformation.
