Japanese architect, urban designer, and theorist Arata Isozaki passed away today, December 29, at the age of 91. Arata Isozaki is considered “the emperor of Japanese architects”, for the avant-garde and pioneering nature of his work. For some architects, he was a visionary, who always approached his work as an architect with a “deep commitment to the art of space.”

The Monologue Art Museum, designed by Wutopia Lab, is located in the open green space where three residential clusters intersect on the Weilan Beach campus, dividing the 1272 sqm building into different wholes joined by walls, corridors, and vague spaces in Aranya Park, Beidaihe, Qinhuangdao, China.
