The Taihu Show Theatre by Steven Chilton Architects in Wuxi, China Located close to Lake Taihu in Jiangsu Province, China, the Wuxi Show Theatre concept was inspired by the Sea of Bamboo Park in Yixing, the largest bamboo forest in China. The Sydney Garden Pavilion by AR-MA, called Trifolium, was constructed using thousands of components. The pavilion’s curves were created by joining robotically-produced Corian panels with laser-cut mirrors. AR-MA, an Australian studio, won the second edition of the Fugitive Structures architecture competition with their Trifolium design. This annual competition invites emerging or mid-career architects to propose structures that utilize advanced technologies.
