One Main Office Renovation by dECOi Architects The project essentially comprises two planes – the floor and ceiling, both of which are articulated as continuous surfaces inflected by function. The curvilinearity expresses both the digital genesis and the seamless fabrication logic, with the architect providing actual machining files to the fabricator. As far as possible, the ethos was to replace typical industrial components (such as vents, door handles, etc) with articulate milled timber, offering a radically streamlined protocol for delivery of a highly crafted interior. The intention was to offer a reduced carbon footprint whilst celebrating both a new formal…
The Parks at Amara Chapel by Buensalido Architects in Cebu City, Philippines This project was done for one of the biggest property developers in the country, Ayala Land. The site is in the second phase of their high-end subdivision in Cebu City called the Parks at Amara, and we were asked to design a unique garden chapel that still exuded timelessness and class, as the development targets the upscale sector of society. We thought of the chapel as a bridge, linking three major elements that we wanted to bring together—nature, man, and God. Via > Buensalido Architects
Sousse and Bardo Memorial by George King Architects in Birmingham, England, United Kingdom The Sousse and Bardo memorial is dedicated to the 31 British nationals who lost their lives and to all those affected by the two terrorist attacks in Tunisia in 2015. It is inspired by the fluid geometry of flowing water, frozen in place, as if time has stood still at the moment of the attacks. This has been chosen not only because of the proximity of the events in 2015 to the sea but also as it represents a symbol of the cycle of life. Water, when frozen…

The project hopes to symbolize the growth of the megacity of Istanbul. The telecommunication tower will replace several drab structures currently in use and will combine an estimated 125 broadcasting transmitters in one structure and…
