The Scope of Dynamic Sketching:
This workshop is divided into two main parts:
AI Sketch Creation
Participants will explore a wide range of sketching styles using AI, from loose conceptual drawings to more defined representations. Emphasis will be placed on prompt development strategies that progressively refine the visual outcome. This section encourages creative exploration beyond photorealism, focusing on mood, interpretation, and conceptual strength.
Professional Animation with AI
The second part of the workshop will focus on animating the generated sketches. This workshop will teach you how to utilize AI tools to create professional-grade animations featuring various camera movements, transitions, and visual effects. The goal is to develop compelling animated presentations that effectively communicate architectural ideas to clients and stakeholders, especially in the early design phase.

- Hands-on exercise: participants create and refine prompts for a chosen design
Exploring Styles & Smart Prompting Tools
- Overview of 10+ sketching styles in architecture (pencil, ink, charcoal, axonometric, etc.)
- Matching style with concept and context
- Automatic prompt generation inside MidJourney
- Comparison: MidJourney vs. DeepSeek vs. ChatGPT for architectural prompts
- Hands-on session: create three stylistically distinct sketch views of the same project
Day 2: AI-Powered Sketch Animation & Presentation
Animating Your Sketches with AI Tools
- Introduction to animation tools: Kling AI, Archivincy, and MidJourney video
- Understanding movement: camera logic in architectural storytelling with Kling AI
- Live demo: creating motion from static sketches
- Hands-on: animating a Day 1 sketch using MidJourney
Advanced Workflows & Final Showcase
- Using Archivincy + Rendair for advanced sketch animation workflows
- Enhancing animations with smooth transitions and layered depth
- Final hands-on: each participant creates a 12-second animated sketch video of a topic given by the instructor
- Group review and professional feedback
- Closing: exporting, sharing, and presenting your animated concepts

Instructor:
Rolando Cedeño De La Cruz
Rolando Cedeño de la Cruz is a Costa Rican/Chilean Architect and Senior 3D Artist. Graduated from Universidad de Costa Rica, he has a demonstrated history of working in the architecture & commercial retail design industry for the last 20 years.
Skilled in Architectural Design, Point of Sale Design, Exhibit Design, Furniture Design, and Innovative Concept Design. He has also been part of the Gensler 3D Architectural Visualization crew and is the founder of Aurik Exhibits & Retail Design.
His designs are focused on creating spatial and sensory experiences that are highly vitalizing, to promote the connections between people, their passion for life, and the notion of a prosperous future.
Currently dedicated to innovative content development for the Metaverse and Visionary Design Conceptualization with multiple AI technologies.
