Instagram has over 1 billion monthly users and as it continues to grow it becomes a more vital tool in architecture. Taking a cue from the old city streets of Mathura city in India where this project is located, this 800 room students’ hostel creates organic spaces. Designed in 4 level high, 5 linear blocks, the built spaces snake across a wedge shaped site twisting and turning along their length. Sitting adjacent to repetitive hostel blocks on the east and west these new hostels within a large university campus create individual spaces within a discernible identity in each part of the layout.     Bombay Sapphire Distillery in by Heatherwick Studio in #LaverstokeMill #UK 2014. Heatherwick led the transformation of this historical complex, nestled within the iconic green English countryside, into a state-of-the-art gin production facility. The complex includes two glass houses that cleverly make use of the excess heat produced during the distillation process. One of the glasshouses contains the distillery’s tropical plants collection, while the other houses the Mediterranean plants.     Dancing Columns of the students at The Programmed Column 2 course at ETH #Zurich 2010 @gramaziokohlerresearch Based on the findings of the elective course “The Programmed Column 1”,the students were challenged to design and fabricate 3 prototypical brick columns of 4m height each within a 4 week workshop. Functional load bearing criteria had to be integrated with the column design in a parametric system. By the means of models, prototypes in 1:1 scale and digital simulations within a software package for structural analysis the students designed 3 different prototypes that were subsequently assembled on a robotic fabrication unit.     Exhibition Center of Otog in #Erdos #China ?? by Kuan Wang. The goal of the Exhibition Center of Otog is to blend with the surrounding park and to become an integral part of it. The building houses four types of exhibition spaces, linked by the connecting systems. In fact, the idea behind the project is permeability and fusion of the different parts of the building and between interior and exterior. The façade varies due to the shading panels that change their tilt with the position of the sun.     The Wave in #Vejle #Denmark designed by @henninglarsenarchitects is a new unique housing that embraces the sculptural and organic forms to become a new landmark for the city. It takes advantage of both its location and the views it offers, while equally challenging the existing architecture of the area and its program as a housing complex. The characteristic form and material of the housing allows it to be a constantly changing landscape element. During the day the white waves are reflected in the sea and at night the characteristic profile will look like illuminated multi-coloured mountains.
